I've been waiting for this fabric collection to come out, and today it arrived! OMG I loooove it! Koi by Rashida Coleman Hale. 

Hobby Horse prototypes for a new project I'm working on...

I'm making a Washi Dress, fingers crossed it all works out. Clothes making (human sized) intimidates me.

Did I tell you that we are going to Ireland??? Well, we are! Sooooon. 

So I had to get a 3DS for the long plane ride, and because there is a new Animal Crossing Game, so exciting! I made a cute clutch out of my new fabric to keep it safe, but I didn't measure quite right, and it doesn't fit, whoops.

Mmmmm, fresh outta the oven with honey butter. I need to keep practicing, but for a first try, it's pretty damn great!

I bought like 10 things at Target, and they gave a bag for each. I'm so used to SF's no plastic bag law, this just looks wrong to me.

Henry's first birthday!

Can't believe this boy is one!

I flew to Utah to celebrate, make some cake, and give some very special gifts!

Nan was throwing a "Very Hungry Caterpillar" themed party for him, so I made this amaaaaazing cupcake cake.

She found this link on pinterest, and I replicated it.

OMG so amazing, right?

The swirled green frosting was a tad tricky, but I did it!

Here is Henry's cake! I looooved eating skittles while decorating this cake.

I also made a small cake for Van, because we were celebrating both their birthdays.

I made Henry a monkey, just like I did for Van. This photo makes my heart swell....

So amazing.

escape from utah

Danny's dad and his girlfriend Pam came to visit us! I found them a lovely little apartment right next to Union Square on airbnb to stay in since all we have room for is an air mattress on the floor.

They wanted to escape the Utah heat which is particularly horrible in July.

We played sightseers...

First up, Alcatraz. It was kind nippy that day! I was so, so glad that my camera got fixed before we went. I've missed it so much!

The model of Alcatraz is pretty cool.

Did you know that the island is also a bird refuge? Check out the fluffy baby seagull! He hatched a few days earlier.

I've never seen a seagull from above before.

You can see the Golden Gate bridge and....

...the bay bridge. Pretty cool. Unless you were a prisoner. That would suck. On so many levels.

This is the first time I've been here, lame right? I'm lazy. I don't like driving up here.

It looks peaceful and calm, but it was windy and cold and wiiiiiindy.

The fort was pretty cool.

Mmmmm, we took them to Umami burger. Seriously so delicious.

On a trip to the mall- we showed them the amazingness that is Beard Papa cream puffs.

They had so much fun- of course so did we! It was fun playing tourist!

My camera broke awhile ago, and I had to send it in to Canon to get fixed. I finally got it back! Yea! Now I can photograph all the fun things I've been making for the shop!
