Summer is creeping in, which means that we actually had a spring this year. And that makes me very happy! I am so ready for summer- I love the heat, and the loooong days. I savor each one so that when the nasty snow lingers on, and it's dark at 5, I have something to fantasize about. Anyway, every year without fail, as summer approaches, (or blasts in as it usually does), I trade in my decadent chocolate obsessions for fresh citrus confections. Not for long, don't you worry, I'll be back. Key lime pie, (the frozen version for really hot nights) fresh lime popsicles, frozen lemonade from Hot Dog on a Stick, etc. When I was younger, my mom would always make us these orange yogurt popsicles that she would freeze in those tiny dixie cups with straws as sticks. So, tonight, I made key lime pie for tomorrow evenings dessert, and I made the orange yogurt popsicles for the rest of the week. I can't wait!
(since the pie is not photgraphable right now, I borrowed the image.)
